Tag: What's In My Handbag?

Hello Girls! I've been meaning to do this post for quite some time now, but I'm forever changing my bag and emptying its contents out onto my bed that I've never really found an opportunity to do it. I don't know about you but I love this tag. I'm a real nosey parker and love seeing what you girls have lying around in the bottom of your bags! Just like my skincare routine, this changes all the time and I always take things out and in turn put new things in!

Beige Structured Tote Bag - Zara Dupe From Primark
I bought this bag in the Boxing Day sales (which I blogged about here) from Primark and I have been hooked ever since. It's such a nice size and goes with almost everything in my wardrobe, plus its such a good dupe to the one from Zara but at almost quarter of the price.

iPhone 5 & Apple Headphones
I bought the iPhone 5 on the day it came out because I'm a little bit of a technology geek. (see, the home truths are starting to come out of the closet now) and the bumper case is from eBay. I am absolutely loving the new Apple headphones too.

Make-Up Bag & Products
In my make-up bag I just tend to store things in there for touch-ups etc. Things like powder, lipstick and mascara are amongst the dark depths of my make-up bag. I also carry around Soap and Glory's 'Hand Maid' as I hate germs. I'm obsessed with keeping my hands clean, and the tissues speak for themself.

Oyster Card
If you live in London then an Oyster is probably the focal point of anyones bag. It gets me around while saving money, but I won't even attempt to show you the picture inside.

Purse
In my purse I have a stupid amount of bank cards, store cards, reciepts and the rest. I also picked this up in the Boxing Day sales from River Island and I love the studded detail on the front.

Keys
Well I'm not going to get very far without my keys! I have silly keyrings on mine, but by far my favourite one is my diamante 'K' inital one, along with my 'Mrs David Beckham' one too.

Denman Grooming Brush
I need to brush my hair extensions througout the day, but I love this one as it really smoothes the hair down too which is perfect for windy days, or any day if you live in England.

S. Pellegrino Water
I'm currently suffering with an awful cold, and have to take tablets and use endles tissues so I've been told to keep drinking fluids. I love this water, I know that sounds crazy but it has a different taste to other waters.

Lady GaGa Fame Perfume
I love this perfume for daytime. When I first heard Lady GaGa was bringing out a perfume I was a bit apprehensive as to what it would be like but I love it. It has great staying power too so only need a sprita halfway through the day.

Scarf & Umbrellla
Pretty self explanatory as I live in London and you never know when you'll need these. The say could start off with the sun shining and snowing by the evening!

I tag all of my blog readers to do this, let me know if you do by commenting I'd love to see it! What do you carry around in your handbag everyday?

Christmas Wishlist

Hi everyone, I'm getting so excited knowing Christmas is under a week away! I originally planned to do a Soap and Glory post tonight but by the time I got home it was far too dark to take blog worthy photos. Sob. I know it's a little late to start posting 'Wishlist' posts but I thought I'd show you a few of the things I've asked for and am hoping to receive under the tree.

1. YSL  Rouge Volupte Perle 107 Impetuous Beige
I was recently reading Fisi over at 'Oh Snap Babes' post about this gorgeous YSL shade and I just love it! I absolutely adore these lipsticks their formulas are so thick and creamy and the pigmentation is to die for. I love this shade as it's not too out there and is a nice nude pink which I'm partial to.

2. Thierry Mugler Alien Eau De Parfum
Anyone who knows me personally will know that this is my signature scent. People often tell me they know I'm in the room once they catch a sniff of its gorgeous smell. It's a much loved fragrance and lasts all day, and as I'm starting to run out of my current bottle I desperately need a replacement!

3. Real Techniques Core Collection
I know a few of you may be shocked but I only own one Real Techniques brush! I own the infamous stippling brush (read my review here) and it is by far my most used brush. I can only imagine how great the core collection is as a few bloggers have said in the past so I'm looking forward to getting my hands on the core collection.

4. Boohoo Gold Sequin Sleeve Khaki Jacket
Not one of my friends isn't lusting after this jacket! I absolutely love it and I haven't ordered one sooner because I'm crossing my fingers to have my own on Christmas Day. It may not be the most practical of jackets but put a bit of sequin with some khaki and I'm on board. I've seen Millie Mackintosh and Katie Price wearing it too which makes it that little bit more lustable!

5. New Look Bubblegum Pink Onesie
Okay I have a little bit of a confession to make ... I now have a collection of NINE onesies. I know it sounds bad but I live in mine. I'm not a slob, honest, but as soon as I get home I look forward to pulling my onesie on. This one is a little pricey at £70 but the quality is amazing and it's a piece you can keep forever.

6. Soap & Glory Best Of All Gift Set
I don't think I've seen one beauty blogger who hasn't either a) bought this b) asked for this or c) lusted after this. The fact it's currently on offer at Boots and I know of some people who have gone out and bought two for themselves. I for one am so excited to get my hands on this and have a good old pamper!

What have you asked for Christmas?

Glossybox November 2012

I love nothing better than a good old beauty box. I've been suscribed to Glossybox for a few months now, and all in all I've been quite impressed. This months box has been my absolute favourite so far. I recieved five great products and for once didn't push one away thinking I'd use it another time which of course I never would. I hadn't heard of the brand Ayuuri before but I recieved a full size bottle of the Indian Rose Face Cream which smells amazing and really hydrates my skin. I'd also never heard of Alison Claire until now either, but the body butter looks lovely to use. Of course my favourite product from this box is the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant, who doesn't love a good Dermalogica product? I've tried this in the past, however it's expensive at over £30.00 a pop to keep replacing. I'm a little disappointed at the tiny 4ml size of the Nails Inc polish, but of course you can't have everything. The perfume sample is amazing too, the bottle is actually gorgeous and it smells lovely and fresh, probably more of a Summer fragrance than anything.

What did you think of this months Glossybox?

Amy Child's Perfume Sample Vail

Hello! August is finally here, I cannot believe how quickly this year has gone! I hope you're having a lovely Thursday and the weather isn't too bad wherever you are. Here in London it's pretty standard. Grey, overcast, miserable and raining. Hello British Summer! I've been glued to the Olympics when I haven't been working at them, and I'm so excited for the running and athletics to start next week! I get so much adrenalin just from watching how competitive the runners get, and I love the men's 100m final where everyone is especially excited. Going slightly off topic now, I wanted to show you all something I received on Tuesday through the post.

Being a massive TOWIE fan, I've always had a bit of a girl crush on Amy Childs. I think she's funny, she's glamorous and above all she genuinely seems like a lovely person. I was really gutted when it was announced she would be leaving The Only Way Is Essex after only two series to go off and do her own thing. She has become quite the successful rising star here in the UK, and has since then launched a clothing line, her own beauty salon, a fitness DVD and now a perfume. It does sound a little familiar to another one of my favourite celebrity idols, as they both have had the same management team at one point in their career, but I won't go into a rant about that as we'll be here all day! I don't tend to use celebrity fragrances other than those from Katie Price but was expecting something really nice and girly from Amy Childs.

The company who designed Amy Child's perfume were holding a competition on Twitter (@JigsawESL) to win free sample vails of the product three weeks before it's released to the public in a full size bottle. This means I'm one of the first people to try the new perfume (major excitement), and I have to say I absolutely love it! I love the fragrance card holder it comes in as if you'd have watched her show 'It's All About Amy' then you'll know it matches the theme of her beauty salon. It does slightly scream cheesy as the reflective purple card is a little tacky, and I have no idea what the full size bottle itself looks like. I hope it's a perfume I can put on my dressing table and not in my dressing table! I think it's extremely hard to describe how a perfume smells to other people as everyone has different opinions as to how they smell a particular scent, so this is what was written about the scent from Jigsaw ESL.

"The scent opens with gloriously fruity, exotic notes of pomegranate seed, fresh green leaves and kumquat, moving into a floral heart of lotus, champaca and purple orchid. The gorgeous perfume settles onto a sensual base of purple violet, amber, skin musks, soft woods and vanilla. Encased in an adorable deep purple, multi-faceted bottle embellished with a heart shaped charm, Amy's perfume is fabulous and feminine, just like her."

Cheesy. But I do agree with the fact that this fragrance smells absolutely stunning. It's so girly and it's definitely more of a Summer fragrance, so there isn't too much time left to use it. Other than the fragrance card holder I do quite like the bottle at first glance. I think it represents Amy as a brand rather than a celerity. The only small criticism is the fact that it is an Eau De Toilette, which means the fragrance isn't as concentrated as Eau De Parfum's, resulting in a fragrance which doesn't last as long as others. I just hope to God that the launch of this isn't anything like good old Katie Price as I think that Katie has her  own unique style to her launches and Amy seems to be following her. I can't wait until the full size bottle of this comes out as I'll definitely be buying it. It will be available from good perfume retailers from August 18th.
