January Glossybox

Another month, another Glossybox delivery! Squeal. I've been subscribed to Glossybox for nearly a year now, and I actually think this months box is one of my favourites. It's got a nice selection of skincare goodies in there and who isn't absolutely loving the little sleep eye mask either? This months box's theme was 'detox' and came with a cute little booklet with advice on how to detox your life which I think was a really nice touch. With the new year and all I guess it's the best time to put these products in there. I got...

♥ Glossybox 'Glossy Dreams' Sleep Mask
♥ Sanctuary Spa 30 Day Thermal Transformation
♥ Lacoste 'Eau De Lacoste' Perfume Sample
♥ Monu Instant Radiance Microfoliant
♥ BM Beauty Finishing Powder
♥ Murad Ultimate Moisture For Eyes
♥ Sanctuary Spa Thermal Rose Clay Mask

I'm really looking forward to trying the thermal clay mask. I've used a Superdrug own brand of this product before and it was so lovely, so I'm expecting high things from this. I'm pretty comfortable using my Soap & Glory 'Greatest Scrub Of All' as a facial exfoliator, but I'll give the Monu Microfoliant a go as I've seen r=mixed reviews on it so want to pass judgement myself! I'm not really a fan of a dewy finish on my skin, so the finishing powder from BM Beauty could be used as a highlighter I suppose? I'm quite settled with my Sleek highlighter in my Face Form contour palette but the pink undertones in my sample look perfect for my brow bone so I'll definitely give it a bash. I was worried when my Balance Me infamous 'Wonder Eye Cream' had finished, so I'm jumping the joy that I have a replacement in the form of Murad Ultimate Moisture for eyes. I'm hoping it works wonders for me just as the wonder eye cream did. I'm a bit gutted there's only one sample of the 30 Day Thermal Transformation as it points out that it needs to be used up to three times to see a visible difference but hey, if I like it, I may go on the hunt for the full size product. Another perfume sample to add to my collection is the Lacoste Eau De Lacoste sample. I know some people don't particularly like receiving samples but I love it as I can just pop them into my handbag for a quick spritz during the day. I'm super excited to use the Glossybox own brand eye mask as it's so cute and girly and I can't fall asleep without my TV on!

What did you get in your Glossybox this month? Did you enjoy it as much as others?

Review: Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream

Another months Glossybox can mean only one thing - another great product! I received this in my subscription a few months back but completely forgot about it until a few weeks ago. I've never been too into the hype of eye creams as I think they're more suited to more mature skin, but after using this for two weeks I've completely changed my view on them. I had heard of Balance Me as a brand, as they are famed for their gorgeous Cleanse and Smooth Face Balm, so was expecting great results from this.

Although this stuff doesn't come cheap, it's worth that little bit of an occasional splurge. It retails for £14.00 per 10ml of product and if you're a little sceptical like I was about eye creams, this can seem a little pricey. Balance Me claim that it is 'A triple action eye cream to help revitalise weary eyes, smooth away dark shadows and reduce the appearance of fine lines with super hydrating hyaluronic acid to help brighten and smooth the delicate skin around the eyes'. Phew.

I totally agree with what Balance Me claim. I've seen a definite difference in the way my dark circles have slightly brightened and I feel like it makes me look more awake. It's a lovely consistency, and it sinks in really well  not to mention it smells lovely too. I think what I love most about this is that it contains 99% natural ingredients. I don't feel as though I'm putting the contents of a science lab onto my eyes which is a massive bonus. Although I loved using this product, I don't think I could quite justify spending £14-£20 on another tube of product. I just think that you can get similar results from using high street brands like Olay and L'Oreal at half the price but still getting the same results, if not better. All in all this product gets a 7/10 from me!

Have you tried Balance Me's Wonder Eye Cream?

Glossybox November 2012

I love nothing better than a good old beauty box. I've been suscribed to Glossybox for a few months now, and all in all I've been quite impressed. This months box has been my absolute favourite so far. I recieved five great products and for once didn't push one away thinking I'd use it another time which of course I never would. I hadn't heard of the brand Ayuuri before but I recieved a full size bottle of the Indian Rose Face Cream which smells amazing and really hydrates my skin. I'd also never heard of Alison Claire until now either, but the body butter looks lovely to use. Of course my favourite product from this box is the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant, who doesn't love a good Dermalogica product? I've tried this in the past, however it's expensive at over £30.00 a pop to keep replacing. I'm a little disappointed at the tiny 4ml size of the Nails Inc polish, but of course you can't have everything. The perfume sample is amazing too, the bottle is actually gorgeous and it smells lovely and fresh, probably more of a Summer fragrance than anything.

What did you think of this months Glossybox?

July 2012 Glossybox

Hi Everyone! Hope you're well, I have been so busy working for the London 2012 Olympic games this has been my only chance to blog and show you what I received in my first ever Glossybox. Monthly beauty boxes caused a lot of hype in the beauty blogging world around this time last year so I'm aware I'm very late when it comes to trying them out for myself. I think I always put the idea off as I didn't want to be disappointed with what I receive in my box after waiting for weeks, but the beauty blogger in me decided to try Glossybox out, probably the best known of them all and as far as I know, the original beauty box. The original is always better than the copy! I placed my order and eagerly waited for the delivery to come.

It came three days after placing my order online which is pretty standard and opened it straight away. I couldn't believe just how small it was! I can't complain for only £10 + £2.95 postage and packaging but from photos Glossyboxes look alot bigger! Come to think of it, it would be a bad idea to make a bigger box as there are only miniature products  inside them. I absolutely love how it's wrapped so beautifully, it makes you that little more excited to open the box but still careful at the same time when untying the ribbon. I'm not that pleased with what I received as all the products don't seem as well thought out as some other peoples boxes and I hear people got given the infamous HD Brows palette. Jel.

Collin Resultime Regenrating Collagen Gel £47.25/50ml - I like the idea of this being a regenerating collagen gel to make my crows feet lines a little less visible. I'm apprehensive that any type of collagen gels work to the degree which they promise so I'm excited to try and review this. It can be used daily as a serum or as a mask while I sleep. I'll report back if I find this to be good!

Awapuhi Wild Ginger Texturising Sea Spray £18.95/150ml - I absolutely love to use Paul Mitchell products, I really enjoy using the cleansing purple shampoo. I'd never seen the new Wild Ginger range, and this promises to create a tousled, beachy style by adding texture and body to hair. I love the look of loose waves, so I'm excited to tell you what I thought of it.

Monu Extra Rich Night Cream £36.95/50ml - I think that this more or less has the same effect as the Collin Reslutime Gel which I received. It's a luxurious treatment which intensively nourishes and firms while you sleep. As I mentioned I'm always sceptical as to whether firming creams work, so I'll test this cautiously.

Jelly Pong Pong Lip Frosting £10.00/15ml - I haven't ever been keen on the idea of a lip frost, as I find the finished effect the look a bit old school and remind me of Year 3 and 4. But I love that this is multifunctional and can double up as a blush, and I absolutely love the way it smells.

Kryolan Satin Powder £4.95/3g - This was the only product I was a little excited about as I love having colourful eye make-up especially throughout Summer. I love the look of it and the colour is a rich burnt orange,so am really looking forward to trying it out.

Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Skin - This was a bonus product added to Glossybox this month, and after using Elizabeth Arden in the past and liking it I'm looking forward to trying the sample sizes of skincare.

Overall, I'm not too disappointed with what I received in my first Glossybox. I'm not giving in and will give it another few goes to wow me. What did you get in your Glossybox this month?
