March Favourites

Hello dolls! I hope you all had an amazing Easter - I definitely ate and drunk my body weight in food and wine over the weekend so I'm straight back into the gym this week. I find it slightly odd to be writing up my March favourites at the moment; this year is going by so quickly and were already into the fourth month of the year. It feels like only yesterday I was writing my February favourites, but I've been loving a few products this month that I felt I just had to share them with you all.

I used to use the Liz Earle 'Cleanse & Polish' religiously, but the steep price tag meant it wasn't easy on my bank balance when it came to repurchasing it. I've since rediscovered this little gem, and I would definitely pin it down as a holy grail cleanser. It's the creamiest formula imaginable, and softens/cleans my skin beyond belief. I've also been taking full advantage of the Boots 3 for 2 offer and although I'm besotted with the infamous Lasting Perfection concealer by Collection 2000, I thought it was time to dip my toes into the world of concealer and try something new. I picked up the Maybelline Dream Lumi, a highlighting concealer which is a godsend when it comes to contour and highlighting. It's a lovely texture and I don't find it to be cakey or crease throughout the day either. I've also been using fake tan alot more often recently as I picked up loads at the Professional Beauty exhibition last month. I'm definitely more a mousse person when it comes to tanning, and I'm not exaggerating when I say this dries almost instantly - no more waiting around awkwardly waiting to dry! It's not orange at all and it's streak free meaning you'll look like you've been in the Bahamas and not the Sugar Hut.

Probably my favourite product throughout the entire month or even the year so far is the YSL Rogue Volupte lipstick. I finally got one after being put off by the £25 price tag, and I'm so glad I did. It takes luxury to a new level and is the best formula of lipstick I've ever tried. Unfortunately I've pushed all my trusty MACs to one side to make room for this, but for the product quality and beautiful packaging there's no turning back for me! Along with using fake tan alot more often I also needed to invest in a heavy duty body scrub. I discovered Lush's Rub Rub Rub at the beginning of the month and have been obsessed ever since. I don't want to say too much about it as I have a full review planned in the next few days, but until then you must know that you need it in your life. I've also been absolutely loving Sleek's Face Contour kit. A double panned contour and highlight duo which compliments most peoples skin tone without looking too 'done'. Both powders are silky soft to the touch and hollow out my cheekbones nicely without looking un-natural. You can tailor exactly how you wish your contour to look, it's buildable and the mocha/vanilla colour combination is to die for.

Monthly Favourites | February

Hey there lovely ladies! Can you believe we're now in the third month of 2013? That's crazy! Time flies when you're having fun, and I've had a pretty busy month. The highlight of my February was the Professional Beauty exhibition (read my post here) and getting news through that I'll be spending a month in Australia with family at the end of the year which I'm of course super excited about. At the end of each month I love reading what everyone's been loving and also share with you lovely lot what have been my favourite products from the last 30 days (or 28 as were in February!).
Probably my favourite purchase of the year so far was the Urban Decay Naked Palette (read my review here). I still can't believe it took me so long to take the plunge, but it is most definitely my favourite make-up product out of my entire collection. The colours are so versatile and wearable for both day and night and ideal to create the perfect smokey eye. I don't want to bang on too long about this little beauty, so I'll move swiftly onwards. I also got my hands on the Solar Powder bronzer from Soap and Glory, which has meant I can save my MAC 'Give Me Sun' bronzer for special occasions or when I want to glam my face up a bit more than usual. It is a half matte and half shimmer block so leaves the skin with a gorgeous dewy finish on the cheekbones without being orange or going patchy throughout the day. I've also been obsessing over my newest Victoria's Secret lipstick. They've only just introduced these in-store and were previously only sold online, so I took advantage of the situation when I was last there and picked up several shades, my favourite being 'True'. It has a much lighter colour pay off than what it appears as, and the finish is amazing. It's so moisturising - think a MAC Cremesheen mixed with a lip butter and you get the idea.  I couldn't possibly have a monthly favourites post without mentioning some sort of Soap and Glory product! It just so happens that this month I've been loving two of their bath and skincare products, the 'Rich and Foamous' body wash and the 'Feel Good Factor' facial moisturiser. I have a huge thing for almond, vanilla and shea butter scents, and the body wash has all of these combined. I may review this product in full sometime soon, but until then all you need to know is this - it's amazing! I'm not a massive fan of the Sugar Crush products as I don't particularly like the scent, but this is a great alternative. The 'Feel Good Factor' is a lovely consistency, but don't worry I haven't parted ways with my 'For Daily Youth' moisturiser. I mix the two together to get the best of both worlds. Something I've been lusting over for as long as I can remember is the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. This thing is a lifesaver! Out of all of my brushes, this is definitely my favourite. It applies foundation so easily without leaving brush lines, not to mention it washes like a dream too. No more malting brushes! I have an upcoming 'Favourite Make Up Brushes' post, so make sure you check back if you're interested.

January Favourites

Hello! Can you believe we're already approaching February? 2013 is going so quickly already, but it's that time of the month where bloggers rave about their favourite products from the last 30 days or so. I'm sure I'm not the only one taking full advantage of the Aussie 2 for £6.99 offer in Superdrug. I love Aussie as a brand, and you'll probably already know just how great the 3 minute miracle is, so was so excited to try the Miracle Moist shampoo and conditioner. It smells like bubblegum and leaves my hair feeling so unbelievably soft so it's a complete thumbs up from me! I've also been loving the L'Oreal Elnett Satin Heat Protector Spray. I live by Elnett hairspray and this definitely lives up to its expected potential and my hair definitely feels alot different when I use my usual Tresemme styling spray. It's a really nice size too so will last a long while, so definitely worth the £5.99 price tag. I also know I wasn't the only blogger completely excited about the launch of Rimmel's Apocalips and I picked up a few shades which I plan to blog about in the near future. So far, my favourite shade is 'Luna'. All of them are ridiculously pigmented and long lasting, and I think are a great dupe for YSL's Glossy Lip Stains. I've also rediscovered my love for Burt's Bees lip balm - it's heaven in a tube. No other lip treatment leaves my lips so moisturised and it is a firm favourite in my make up bag. I popped into The Body Shop one afternoon and bought a few of their infamous body butters and I think of all of the ones I purchased, the Almond one is by far my favourite. I can't even begin to tell you how gorgeous this smells. It's quite strong so I find it lingers on my skin for a long time which of course is amazing. I sometimes sit there jut sniffing my arm which probably looks a bit weird! I also went into Lush over the weekend to repurchase the Snow Fairy shower gel as my previous bottle had finished. It makes me excited for bathtime and really lingers on my skin afterwards, not to mention it also leaves my bathroom smelling amazing for some time afterwards too.

November Favourites

Hello Ladies! Can you believe Christmas is nearly upon us?! This year for me has gone way too fast. It feels like only yesterday I was counting down to 2012. It's now December which means only one thing. The stress begins - Christmas shopping, planning, outfits to buy... the list is endless. As is tradition I have a few products I've been using this month (a few days late) which are a combination of new and old favourites which I thought I'd share with you all.

YSL Thick Volume Curls Mascara - I am a little guilty of wearing false eyelashes on a daily basis. Who has the time to whip out the mascara in the morning when you'd much rather be in bed? But I've rediscovered my love for this mascara. It separates my lashes and gives them a false lash look in a flash. I may do a more in depth review sometime soon.

Sudocrem Antiseptic Healing Cream - Who doesn't know about the beauty secret that is loved by the likes of Cheryl Cole and Kelly Brook that is all-hail Sudocrem? When I've had a few spots (damn you cold weather) this stuff has cleared them up so quickly. I absolutely swear by the stuff and it's so cheap and easy to get hold of.

St Tropez Gradual Tan Body Moisturiser - Gone are the days of sitting in the garden topping up your tan during Summer. I'm not as much of a faux tan fiend as I used to be, but this stuff gives me a nice subtle tan while moisturising beyond belief. Time for me to put that fake tan mitt away for a while.

SleepRollers Bun Ring - Bun rings and hairpieces are my absolute life saviour. I have countless bun rings in different sizes but for me, the bigger the better. I find this to be one of those products I can't simply be without. It's so quick and easy to use, and you don't need to use heat in order to use it. Winning.

MUA Undressed Palette - Up until the past two weeks I was using my Benefit Big Beautiful Eyes Palette for an everyday eye. I was clearing out my draws when I found this beauty! I love every single shade in this palette and it's an absolute essential for any beauty junkie. Read my full review here

YSL Rouge Pure Shine Lipstick - I have a naughty habit and lipsticks are definitely my guilty pleasure. I have an insane amount. I absolutely love this stuff. It doesn't budge, it's hydrating, the colour is gorgeous and it lasts a hell of a long time. Although it's a little pricey, I've put a few shades on my Christmas list. One can dream.

October Favourites

(From L to R: Yves Rocher Rouge Lipstick - Dove Firming Body Lotion - MAC Pro Longwear Foundation - Victoria's Secret Wild & Breezy Body Lotion - OPI Nail Polish in Bubblegum - Anatomical Pink Grapefruit Body Scrub)

Yves Rocher Lipstick in 'Rouge' - I received this lipstick in the latest Glossybox and have been hooked ever since. It's great to wear for an evening out and adds a touch of Hollywood glamour to your look. What I love the most about this is that it is probably one of the most hydrating lipsticks I have ever come across, like ever.

Dove Firming Body Lotion - Okay, I admit it. My diet which I done oh so well on has gone kaput, but Monday is always diet day! Although I'm sceptical as to whether this genuinely tones the skin in 'problem areas', it is so moisturising and makes my skin feel amazing afterwards.

MAC Pro Longwear Foundation NC30 - I decided to part ways with my trusty MAC Studio Fix as it just wasn't working with my skin type any longer. And I'm so glad I did! This stays put all day and isn't an oily formula which keeps me shine free all day. I'll be doing a more detailed review on this sometime soon, so check back!

Victoria's Secret PINK Wild & Breezy Body Lotion - Who doesn't love a bit of Victoria's Secret?! Ever since the two stores opened in London I've been hooked. I picked up this body lotion wit the matching body mist and always get a compliment how fresh and fruity I smell. Winning!

OPI Nail Lacquer in Bubblegum - I love a pale pink nail polish! After my beloved Pale Pink by Models Own ran out I decided to treat myself to an OPI polish. They real are the Rolls Royce of the nail polish world! So pigmented and the brush is a bigger size which makes application a dream.

Anatomical Pink Grapefruit Body Scrub - Again, I received this in last months Glossybox and I have been hooked. I recently swapped sunbeds for St Moritz and this preps my skin so well. I may even say better than Soap and Glory's 'Flake Away', which if you know the product, is so hard to beat.

September Favourites

Hi Ladies, how are we all? Autumn is well on the way and the fur coats and chunky knits have been pulled out from the back of the warbrobe. It's that time of the month again where my favourite products from the past 30 days get their 15 minutes of fame and I tell you what I've been absolutely loving and raving about.

Molton Brown Soothing Hand Lotion rrp £16.00 ♥

To me, there's nothing worse than dry, cracked and unloved hands in Winter. It's easy to cover them up with a pair of mittens but when they come off it can be sickening if you don't use some kind of hand cream to look after them. I was lucky enough to be given this bottle of Molton Brown hand cream as a present last Christmas, and I still haven't managed to finish it! It smells absolutely gorgeous and transforms dry hands into silky mitts.

Fake Bake Beyond Bronze Airbrush Self Tanner RRP £14.99 ♥

I'm not long back from my holiday in Marbella and luckily I have an olive skin tone which means my colour lasts all year round. To maintain that 'just stepped off the plane' look, I top up my tan every week or so with this baby. The love for my St Moriz has slightly fizzled out (sigh) and this is a great replacement for a golden streak free tan. The only downside is the smell. It smells so bad, but the results make it all worthwhile!

Radox Soft Care Bath Cream RRP £1.49♥

I love me a good old bubble bath, and wouldn't think twice about using something from Radox. I've tried everything from the stress relief soak to the moisture soak and this one is by far the best. It smells amazing, and it's thick texture means a little really does go a long way (I found that out when I left my bath running unattended and the bubbles spilled over the top of the bath). I pick all Radox bubble baths up for a tiny £1.00 from my local chemist, so you can imagine how enormous my collection is.

Faux Fur Collar Chocolate Leather Jacket RRP £25 Primark ♥

I'm an absolute sucker for anything with a fur trim! While picking up some bits and bobs from Primark, I noticed this lovely number. I'm not really one to wear leather jackets, but
loved this once so much it had to be bought! For a measly £25 you can't go wrong. What an absolute bargain.

Panther Gold Diamante Stud Earrings RRP £4.99 Forever 21 ♥

My favourite place to buy clothes from is Forever 21, their stuff is absolutely gorgeous. I often find myself getting lost for hours in the accessory section, and I picked up these to add a bit of bling to my everyday wardrobe. I love anything gold and embellished, so these ticked all the boxes for me.

July Favourites

So, it's that time of month where all beauty bloggers reveal their favourite finds from throughout the month. I admit that July has been a great month for me in terms of finding lovely products which I've been in turn obsessing over, and I'd love to share them all with you. This is my first monthly favourites post and it's a little picture heavy so I apologise in advance.

Sleep Rollers - You must have been hiding under a rock if you haven't heard of these little beauties. I bought them a few months back and ever since then I've worn them at every given opportunity as I love them so much. I'm planning to do a full review of these, as I know rollers and especially Sleep Rollers are a hair product that people are very apprehensive about. But they're great for me, and I've been using them all month to achieve big bouncy hair.

Batiste Dry Shampoo for Dark Brown Hair - Sometimes you just can't be bothered to wash your locks, and have to sit through blow drying your hair with the annoying prospect of being unable to style your hair on the day it has been washed. I've been loving the dry shampoo from Batiste which adds a tone of dark brown to your hair, which is great if your roots begin to come through. (I'm slightly guilty of this now, my natural hair is blonde so it looks disgustingly grey against my dark brown hair. Eek!)

St Tropez Gradual Tan Moisturiser - In recently raved about the infamous Dove Summer Glow Body Moisturiser, but I've found an even better replacement. Sure, it may be a little on the pricey side, but for a gradual tanning product which delivers nicer, longer lasting results I can just about justify it. I am loving this stuff, and plan to write a full review on it soon.

ReBorn at New Look Cross and Pearl Necklace - If you read my blog you'll know that I recently bought this necklace for a bargain of only £6.00 at New Look in Westfield, London. Since then, I've been wearing it with pretty much everything. I love that it's so versatile and doesn't catch in my long hair either which is a huge added bonus. Read my full review on it here

Benefit Get Bent Mascara - I love Benefit make up, and I've never been disappointed when purchasing something. I love the packaging of this mascara and it looks lovely in my make-up bag when I could never usually find my mascara buried under everything. It gives my lashes great volume and the brush is angled which makes for great application.

Nails Inc in Love Potion - I'm a complete sucker for pale barbie pink nail polishes as I find that they really bring out a tan. Nails Inc have a great selection of colours, and this ticks all the right boxes. It's chip resistant, long lasting and very pigmented. I only need to apply one coat and I'm good to go.

MAC Lusture Lipstick in Jubilee - As I've mentioned in previous posts, I absolutely adore pale pink and nude lipsticks. Having accumulated quite the collection on lipsticks, I've been using MAC's Lusture lipstick which gives a lovely glossy finish and long lasting colour.

Rescue Oil - It's almost time to put on my bikini and get tanning when I jet off on holiday in a few weeks time. EEEK! I've been doing some body prep and begun using Rescue Oil which contains the same ingredients as Bio Oil but is a fraction of the price. I'm planning to do a full review of this sometime soon so I can tell you just how amazing this stuff is!

Soap and Glory Flake Away - I adore Soap and Glory! The packaging, the smell, the price and of course the product. Flake Away is great as an exfoliator to prepare your skin for tanning, and it makes it unbelievably soft. It makes e that little less frightened to get my legs out when the sun shines.

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub - I am so addicted to this stuff, and find myself reaching for it at every given moment before I put my make-up on. I recently done a review on it here so take a read and see why I love it so much.
